This Dayco Timing Chain Kit replaces the original equipment unit on Subaru Outback 2.0L Turbo Diesel AWD models built from 2015 to 2019. This is an interference engine, so a failed belt will cause valve and piston damage. Fit new coolant and a new water pump at the same time if the pump is belt-driven; the labour overlaps almost entirely. Replacement interval is approximately 150,000km or six years, whichever comes first. The kit contains the belt or chain, tensioner, idler pulleys and all fasteners required for the job. Check the fitment list against your build date and VIN before ordering, as running changes were made mid-generation. Fitting is a straightforward workshop job and no coding or calibration is needed.
